Weft QDA

Weft QDA is a free software tool to assist in the analysis of textual data such as field notes, interviews and published material. It is available for Windows and Linux.

Text documents can be imported from plain text or PDF files. Text passages within documents can then be marked (or 'coded') as relating to any number of 'categories', which are organised into a hierarchical tree. These passages can later be retrieved, reviewed, and further analysed.

In addition, Weft includes a fast text search facility, the ability to attach memos and notes to documents and categories, and can carry out set operations and cross-tabulations to see how categories overlap.
