Welcome to AnthroMethods
Welcome to AnthroMethods.
Login or Register now to edit and add pages to this site
The purpose of this site is to initiate a research community supported site to disseminate knowledge about methods. Contibutions will come in many forms: articles about new methods, descriptions of using older methods in specific situations, details of new software, and contributions about how to effectively use this software in the form of case studies or tutorials. And discussion about methods.
We are now open for 'business' in a limited manner, but this site is available for registration and authoring following the preview launch at the ESRC Research Methods Festival in Oxford in July 2006.
To register follow the link above or look under the User menu for the menu item Register. Fill in your name, email and a password, and we will send you an email, which you use to confirm your registration. Note that there are some restrictions on some pages in the site for work in progress, but you can create new pages and edit these, and those created by others otherwise.
This site uses an open source wiki/content management project called Daisy combined with software created by The Centre for Social Anthropology and Computing (CSAC). Tutorials on creating content are under construction, but the basic process is very simple. After registration and login, you can just click on the 'New page" menu, select the default document type, and use the word processor like interface to produce content. The "Fields" tab that will be visible when you are editing lets you add yourself to the list of authors, and to add keywords that are useful for others (Anthromethods works like a database so that people can create pages linking to other pages by keyword as well as by direct links).
See you later

Ok, guys and gals: not very friendly yet. Let's say I wanted to add a link to
http://artsci.wustl.edu/~anthro/research/CAMPAPER.HTM
But I really want to put it in the navigation box, which gives me an error.
So lets try [[Glenn Stone]]
